The Interstate 81 corridor in Washington County is flourishing with industry and contains additional industrial park land available for new development. Hagerstown’s tourism industry is enviable, boasting rising hotel occupancy rates of nearly 14% year over year and convention business increases of as much as 40% since 2005. In addition, Downtown Hagerstown’s recent renaissance has yielded new investment- generating building turnover and rehabilitation, new retail and service enterprises, and rising property values.
