There’s something for everyone to enjoy in downtown Hagerstown. The city hosts several popular annual events, including the Western Maryland Blues Fest. The June event, which showcases blues artists from across the country, draws thousands of fans each year. Augustoberfest celebrates Hagerstown's German heritage. And the annual Alsatia Mummers' Halloween Parade is the largest nighttime parade on the East Coast. Downtown Live!, held at various times throughout the year, is an alternative festival that features live reggae and rock music.
Downtown Hagerstown is also the site of a number of smaller events, including the Maymart, City Center Jazz Nights, Wind Down Friday, Market in the Square and many others.
