Cape Air Non-Stop Flights to Hagerstown, MD and also to Lancaster, PA from Baltimore-Washington International Airport Extended
(Hagerstown, MD and Hyannis, MA) – The U.S. Department of Transportation has extended Cape Air’s contract to provide air service to both Lancaster, PA and Hagerstown, MD from Baltimore-Washington International Airport through September 30, 2011.

"We are proud to serve as the connection for Lancaster and Hagerstown with the national air transportation system. Now that the air service in these communities has been extended we look forward to working with the communities to make the most out of this service," said Andrew Bonney, Cape Air’s Vice President of Planning. "We look forward to continuing to share our singular MOCHA HAGoTDI* brand of customer service while providing dependable air service to Baltimore-Washington International Airport with non-stop service to sixty-two national and four international destinations. With the fare of $59 one way between Hagerstown and Baltimore, and as low as $49 one way between Lancaster and Baltimore, we hope that patronage of both airports will continue to grow."

Tom Riford, the President and CEO of the Hagerstown-Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau said, "This is great news that the federal contract has been extended, and Hagerstown Regional Airport will continue to have convenient and dependable commercial air service to and from BWI. This is positive for our local tourism and travel industry. Visitors and residents alike appreciate Hagerstown's 'no hassle' airport, with free parking, quick check-in, and the reliability of Cape Air's service."

David F. Eberly, Jr., the Lancaster Airport Director shared that "Those whom have experienced our shortcut to BWI have enjoyed savings of time, money and stress."
