Think reInk Opens in City Center

8/3/2011

Less than three months after a Franklin County-based business announced plans to expand operations in Hagerstown, the established ink cartridge re-filler and supplier opened its doors to the public today (Wednesday).

“It seems hard to believe that in 60 days this went from a store that was a shell of an old pharmacy, to what you see now,” said Nathan Rotz, President & CEO of Innernet, Inc. and Think reInk.

Think reInk is now the store front business in the former CVS building at 60 West Washington Street. The re-manufactured ink cartridge and toner re-filler and supplier has two other successful locations in Franklin County. Officials with Think reInk say customers can bring ink cartridges in to be re-filled while they wait or choose from a wide selection of shelf products.

“We fill the majority of ink cartridges in the marketplace,” said Rotz. “And if we don’t fill it, we have it on the shelf at significantly lower prices. A customer can save up to 73 percent off what they’re paying currently for inkjet or toner cartridges, and the positive environmental impact is huge.”

Officials with Think reInk say their excited to expand their re-purposing efforts in a re-purposed location in the heart of City Center.

“We’ve looked at Hagerstown for a quite a number of years since we opened of the location in Chambersburg,” said Rotz. “The business community [in Hagerstown], is a sizable business community and that was of interest to us as we wanted to expand our business into a bigger area.”

The City of Hagerstown purchased the building on West Washington Street with City and federal funds back in April and made renovations which also include a lobby located in the front of the retail space.

Think reInk is a division of Innernet, Inc. and has been based in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania for the last 15 years.
