Education

The relationship between education and business in the Hagerstown community is critically important. More than 30 institutions of higher learning exist within a 70-mile radius of the city, offering a broad spectrum of quality educational opportunities to the area’s workforce.

The Center for Business and Training, a non-profit organization established in 2002, was created in order to enhance the technical skills of the people in and around Hagerstown. In addition to its degree and certificate programs, Hagerstown Community College provides an array of valuable career services, including employer connections, job search assistance and interview preparedness. Kaplan University also assists with workforce development needs by offering skills training, certificate programs and CEU courses. The University System of Maryland Hagerstown Center offers advanced degrees from several universities in Maryland. USMH can also provide testing for your company.

When it comes to workforce training and education, the City of Hagerstown is far ahead of the learning curve.
